Amid charges that he tried to trade or sell President Elect Barack Obama's senate seat to the highest bidder, Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has slated a press conference for Tuesday, where he is expected to name Roland Burris to Obama' seat, according the Associated Press.

The Chicago Tribunereported Tuesday, that according to unnamed sources, Blagojevich will name 71-year-old former Illinois Attorney General Burris to Obama's seat.

However, Senate leaders have said they will not seat anyone named by the embattled governor, who was arrested last month.

Blagojevich maintains he has not committed any crimes and intends to remain if office.
