She-Roes: Ass Kicking Superhero Babes

It's a bird! It's a plane! Even better, it's a hot girl in a skimpy outfit! Whether these ladies are fighting crime or playing the oh-so sinister villain, these supernatural, super strong, super sexy sheroes look so good doing it. Lesbians love a good superhero, so here's SheWired's list of hottest She-Roes including Halle Berry as Catwoman, Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, Famke Janssen as Jean Grey, Charlize Theron, Jessica Alba and more.

It's a bird! It's a plane! Even better, it's a hot girl in a skimpy outfit! Whether these ladies are fighting crime or playing the oh -so sinister villain, these supernatural, super strong, super sexy sheroes look so good doing it.  Here 's SheWired's list of hottest "She-Roes!"

Halle Berry - Catwoman (Catwoman)

To put it nicely, the movie wasn't the best it could be. But to make up for it, we got to leer at Halle Berry in black leather acting like a sultry feline. Whoever decided that having cat-like qualities constituted being a superpower clearly did not go out to West Hollywood on a Saturday night, where the real claws come out. One of the few highlights of the movie was eyeing Halle's ability to work a whip, and- -well... that's pretty much it.

Angelina Jolie - Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)

Angelina Jolie is no stranger to wielding heavy machinery, so picking her to play this gamer favorite wasn't hard. The character 's just about hand-crafted to highlight Jolie's merits as she portrayed the intelligent, beautiful, and athletic Lara Croft for both film versions. With her tight t-shirt, short shorts, and combat boots, the video game character come to life was a lesbian wet dream.

Jennifer Garner - Elektra (Daredevil and Elektra)

For her first film role, Jennifer Garner left her business suit behind to play international assassin Elektra Natchios, opposite future hubby Ben Affleck in Daredevil. Forgoing her usual CIA-issued gun and picking up a couple deadly sais, the Alias hottie proved she could kick ass, while her ass looks really good doing it. Her role in Daredevil was such a success, Garner reprised the role playing her in the spin-off.

Famke Janssen - Jean Grey (X-Men)

Dutch actress Famke Janssen is a chameleon when it comes to playing an array of roles on TV and film. Whether it embodying the manipulative transsexual life coach Ava on Nip/Tuck or playing a spoiled trophy wife for the thriller, House on Haunted Hill, Janssen is believable in any character, including the gifted telekinetic Jean Grey in the X-Men movie trilogy. With her piercing eyes and striking hair stare, Jean Grey's looks were just as intense as her powers. Janssen was also set to guest star in the never-picked-up series spinoff of The L Word. Unfortunately for us, we'll never see if she could rock an orange jumpsuit.

Charlize Theron - Mary Embrey (Hancock)

Most notable for her Academy Award-winning performance in Monster, SheWired favorite Charlize Theron  stars opposite Will Smith and Jason Bateman as Mary Embrey in Hancock. Quiet and mysterious at first, Mary eventually reveals she has more up her sleeve than her life as a suburban housewife, like her ability to chuck Will Smith through a wall. The South-African beauty said of the role, "She lives in this bubble. But when people do that it usually means they are hiding some characteristic inside themselves that scares them. That is Mary's case. She knows who she is and what she is capable of. I find it very complex when I get to play women like that."

Jessica Alba - Invisible Woman (Fantastic Four)

Hottie Jessica Alba dons some blue spandex to play Susan Storm, aka The Invisible Woman in the Fantastic Four series. Though Alba has proven that she could hold her own opposite her hot-headed little brother Chris Evans, I have to ask casting directors one question: Why would anyone want to make Jessica Alba invisible?

Jessica Biel - Abigail Whistler (Blade: Trinity)

Jessica Biel sure has grown up since her days as oldest daughter Mary Camden in the long-running 7th Heaven. Since then the good girl has successfully made the transition over to film rather smoothly, but only recently became a breakthrough hit, starring in movies such as The Illusionist. For the third installment of the Blade series, Biel signed on as Abigail Whistler, fellow vampire hunter. Boy can she use a bow and arrow.

Janeane Garofalo - The Bowler (Mystery Men)

Though this cult favorite was a box office flop, it would be a tragedy to forget Janeane Garofalo's memorable and comedic performance as The Bowler, part of the offbeat, crew known as the Mystery Men. Garofalo's talent was her ability to chuck a--you guessed it--a bowling ball at villains. The ball, which is embedded with her father's skull and his  spirit helps her communicate with the ball so she strikes in the right spot every time!

Uma Thurman - G-Girl (My Super Ex-Girlfriend)

While more noted for her work under the direction of Quentin Tarantino in Kill Bill Uma Thurman left her yellow jumpsuit at home to play G-Girl for the romantic comedy My Super Ex-Girlfriend, opposite Luke Wilson. Her character, the initially shy and coy Jenny turns increasingly neurotic and aggressive when she starts dating Matt (Wilson). After a very painful first time for Matt, who had no idea of he strength, she reveals to him that she is in fact a superhero, possessing Superman-like traits. Though G-Girl has a rather cute outfit, I would take Thurman kicking Lucy Liu's ass ala Kill Bill any day.

Selma Blair - Liz Sherman (Hellboy)

Selma Blair raises temperatures as she plays Liz Sherman the pyrokinetic love interest in Hell Boy. Blair returns for the film's sequel edgier, hotter and with a little more spunk than the first. On returning to play the fire-starting vixen, Blair said, In the first one she was afraid to take a step. She was completely a zombie, not wanting to own up to her power and having the memory of what she'd created in her life... "I was really eager to come and play Liz with a little more vibrancy," she said.

Alicia Silverstone - Batgirl (Batman and Robin)

Though Alicia Silverstone is arguably best known for her role as Cher Horowitz of Beverly Hills in the classic Clueless, her stint opposite George Clooney, Chris O'Donnell, and Uma Thurman in one of the 3,488,540 Batman films as Batgirl was something to talk about. Silverstone plays Barbara Wilson, the seemingly harmless doe-eyed niece of Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred. Silverstone shows up about halfway through the movie, and after some snooping around at the Wayne mansion for a bit, she joins the flying duo and fashions herself a nice little outfit complete with pointy chest armor.

Rebecca Romijn - Mystique (X-Men)

Two Words: Body Paint. Enough said.
