Dewberries Boutique and Lounge Created By Women for Women- Grand Opening Soiree

Showtime’s favorite funny gal Sandra Valls and girlfriend Jacquelyn Kennedy are poised to celebrate a brand-new Los Angeles-based boutique and lounge called Dewberries. The hip new addition to West Pico Blvd. is opening its doors in style on Friday, July 16, 2010 and you and your friends are invited.

“My store is a shopping haven for women”, says Jacquelyn Kennedy, owner and creator of Dewberries. “It’s a relaxing atmosphere that’s a welcomed, radical departure from the rush-rush of the malls. It’s a place where women can bring their kids and let them play on the video games so that they can shop in peace, while sipping on complimentary coffee or tea.”

Indeed, not only are there video games available for kids of all ages to play while in the shop, there is also free high-speed Wi-Fi, flat screen television with comfy lounge chairs and tables and even a stage for in-store performances. Dewberries takes shopping to the next level with their first store.

Jacquelyn Kennedy has been a fixture in the LGBT community for a number of years and, partnered with girlfriend Sandra Valls, has found her voice now more than ever. Tackling fashion and becoming a successful entrepreneur beginning at a mature age 16, Jacquelyn has worked hard to create a brand for women and by women. In fact, that is kind of the whole point behind Dewberries.

A percentage of every sale made at Dewberries goes towards Women for Women. Women for Women is  an international nonprofit organization focused on empowering women as they rebuild their lives after war, devastation, poverty and other debilitating social justice situations. With the support of Women for Women, communities are built, lives are saved and a bevy of other benefits are made available to women around the world.

The Grand Opening of Dewberries Boutique and Lounge will begin at approximately 5:30pm on June 16, 2010 and will run until 10:00pm. There will be a classy pink carpet for celesbian arrivals at 6:00pm. Wine, hors d’ oeuvres and cupcakes will be served by the lovely Dewberry models and every guest will receive a free gift with purchase. Live music and spoken word performances by a few outstanding R&B entertainers and Spanish guitar bands will cap the evening.
