Out MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow reflected on the impressive "sea change" taking place in the country on marriage equality on her show last night.

"We are living right now through a sea change moment, that is not one big sea change happening all at once," said Maddow. "It's made up of lots of teeny, tiny little drops that are making this change happen in the whole country, based on a lot of tiny little points of pressure."

Stressing the importance of small actions contributing to an overwhelming nationwide trend, last night Maddow interviewed the Pennsylvania county clerk who began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples on Wednesday, despite the state's ban on marriage equality.

In a lengthy — but uplifting — segment called "Happily Everywhere After," Maddow interviewed D. Bruce Hanes, the register of wills in Montgomery County, Penn., who issued five marriage licenses to same-sex couples on Wednesday. The first couple to receive a license, pictured above, was Loreen Bloodgood and Alicia Terrizzi, lesbian moms of four who have been together for more than 17 years.

Watch the full segment below, and enjoy riding this ever-growing wave of equality.
