WATCH: New Jersey City Councilwoman's Beautiful Lesbian Wedding Ceremony

Beth Asaro and Joanne Schailey were the first couple to obtain a civil union in New Jersey in 2007, and now they have full marriage equality.

Same-sex weddings have begun in New Jersey, the 14th state with full marriage equality, and we’ve got video of a lesbian couple’s joyous wedding ceremony to share!

Back in 2007, when civil unions became legal in the Garden State, Beth Asaro and Joanne Schailey became the first couple to obtain one. This week Lambertville, NJ mayor David DelVecchio presided over Beth and Joanne’s wedding! Beth, a member of the Lambertville city council said she and Joanne wanted to get married right away in part to illustrate their pro-marriage equality community, according to LGBTQNation.com.
