Cate and Adèle are mutually crushing, so they say!

Last year at Cannes newcomer Adèle Exarchopoulos and her Blue Is the Warmest Color costar Léa Seydoux made history as the 2nd and 3rd women ever to win the esteemed festival's Palme D'or for their intense work in that lesbian-themed coming of age film. This year Cate Blanchett awarded Adèle and Perks of Being a Wallflower's Logan Lehrman with the Trophee Chopard for rising stars.

Cate, who's starring in Carol, the upcoming adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's lesbian potboiler The Price of Salt, said of the young stars, "I have an inappropriate crush on both of them."

Adèle responded by saying, "I am happy you have a crush on me. I have a crush on you, too."

While we adore Cate's Carol costar Rooney Mara, perhaps Adèle should have been cast as Cate's young lover in the film that feautures a lesbian May/December romance/road trip.
