In a recent study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, researchers discovered lesbian, gay and bisexual youth are more likely to experience bullying. Dr. Mark Schuster, who led the study, says:

“Bullying has serious short and long-term consequences, not only physical injury, but also anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, suicidal ideation, post-traumatic stress and negative school performance. Bullying targeted at sexual minorities has even more severe negative effects."

For many queer kids, bullying begins as early as fifth grade and can make life on the playground unbareable. In an effort to combat bullying, YouTubers Raymond Braun and Davey Wavey are taking a stance against bullying and asking you to #BeStrong.

To lift their message, the dynamic YouTube duo enlisted the help of some very macho men. Braun and Wavey recruited straight bodybuilders (Max PhilisaireBradley MartynJim StoppaniJeremy Buendia, Attila Toth, Brad Rowe, and Terrell Jason) to speak out against bullying. Although these tough guise are built like bullies, don't let their muscle mass fool you.In addition to their first video, Braun and Wavey published a director's cut, which provides a deeper look bullying and its affects. If you or someone you know struggles with bullying, take a stance, join the conversation and #BeStrong.
