Lady Gaga Communes with Oprah: Bestows Gautier Sunglasses

Lady Gaga, friend to lesbians and gays, communed with Oprah on the talk show queen's show Friday, less than 24 hours after collapsing from dehydration, which forced her to cancel her show Thursday night. A candid Gaga chatted with Oprah about fashion, her elite New York upbringing and her self-reflexive take on fame, and how you can call her 'Gaga' but you can't call her 'Lady,' among other tidbits.

A candid Gaga chatted with Oprah about fashion, her elite New York upbringing and her self-reflexive take on fame, and how you can call her 'Gaga' but you can't call her 'Lady,' among other tidbits.

Remarking on her wildly disturbing, if not fascinating VMA performance and fashion choice, Gaga had this to say:

"The inspiration comes naturally, but I put a lot of time and effort into everything I do to the point that I do nothing else," Gaga told Oprah. "I wake up in the morning and I basically call the Haus of Gaga all day and argue with them about what I want to do while they tell me, 'you can't do that, you can't bleed to death on domestic television."

At one point during her visit pop juggernaut bestowed a pair of Jean-Paul Gautier sunglasses and a hair bow upon the talk show diva.

Gaga's canceled show at Purdue University Thursday night has been slated for Jan. 26, and her upcoming show at Connecticut's Mohegun Sun has been canceled and will be rescheduled.
