In case you missed it, 21 Jump Street and Magic Mike star Channing Tatum posted a shirtless pic to his Twitter account yesterday, but before you say anything, no it wasn't the typical self-indulgent thirst trap we're used to seeing so many fit, good-looking celebs posting on their social profiles — Daddy Channing's was actually quite wholesome!
Donning a colorful apron and some pink, glittery fairy wings, the 40-year-old acting/dancing extraordinaire (and his massive arms) showed off the cover of his new, forthcoming children's book, The One and Only Sparkella, a project Channing reveals he wrote during quarantine that was inspired by his daughter Everly.
"I don’t know about you but things got a little weird for me in quarantine," Channing wrote in his post announcing his new book. "I locked myself in my daughter’s room & found my inner child. So this is what I created for my little girl. From what is, I guess, the little girl in me."
And from the sound of it, The One and Only Sparkella seems to be a very important kids book about being true to yourself!
"Ella is excited for her first day at a new school," the book's official description reads. "Glimmering pencil case? Check! Shimmering backpack? Check! Glittery ribbons in her hair? Check! But her first day doesn't go quite as planned: Her new classmates don't like her disco-ball shoes, her PB&J-with-sprinkles sandwich, or her rainbow-y unicorn painting."
"Ella decides to try to be less sparkly at school the next day so the other kids won't make fun of her. But with a little help from her dad, she soon learns the importance of just being herself, no matter what other people say."
While toxic masculinity has a lot of men fooled into thinking they can't channel and show off their femininity, the Step Up actor was more than happy to ignore those stupid rules and declare his love for his daughter and his femme side to the world! And many fans were appreciative!
