If you're like us and have been constantly doom-scrolling on the internet the past few days, then one of the crazier headlines you've seen (you know, besides the whole attempted coup that happened in Washington, D.C. that has everyone in a now constant state of disarray) is those rumors circulating about controversial rapper Kanye West dating equally controversial makeup guru and YouTube personality Jeffree Star. 

The rumor of the two dating each other started following the news of Kanye reportedly separating from wife and reality television star Kim Kardashian (the two got married in 2014) and after a baseless TikTok video by a user named Ava Louise went viral for claiming that Kanye was seeing a very popular male beauty guru.

While countless memes have been inspired by the dating rumors over the past few days, Jeffree has finally broken his silence about the scandal and how it is, as expected, not true. 

"Let me say this one time: I like very tall men," Jeffree (who Refinery29 reports stand at 6′ 1″ compared to Kanye's 5′ 8″) said to his nearly 17 million YouTube subscribers in a recent video posted to his channel where he tackles the situation head-on. "Me and Kanye have never hung out, so this whole thing is really funny."

Later in the video, Jeffree continues to explain that his recent move to Wyoming (the same state where Kanye has a ranch) is probably also helping to fan the flames of his rumored romance to the 43-year-old musician, but that there is literally nothing going on between them. 

"I’m single. I’m not sleeping with anyone," Jeffree said. "This is so weird. This is so stupid."

The longtime beauty expert isn't taking all this online drama too seriously, though. He's even poking some fun about it, captioning a recent Instagram post"I’m ready for Sunday Service," referencing Kanye's weekly, Christian-themed music gathering he started back in 2019.
