WATCH: Reese Witherspoon v. Nature in New Trailer for Wild

The trailer is out for Reese Witherspoon’s woman v. nature film Wild, based on the memoir by Cheryl Strayed. Witherspoon plays Strayed, who, after enduring personal heartache and strife, embarked on 1,100 mile trek on the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave to the Oregon/Washington border. Star and producer Witherspoon optioned the rights to Strayed’s book even before it was published. Dallas Buyer’s Club’s Jean-Marc Vallée directs while Strayed and Nick Hornby (About a Boy, High Fidelity) penned the screenplay. Laura Dern and Gaby Hoffman costar in the film which is sure to earn Witherspoon another Oscar nod.
