Love, Simon star Nick Robinson is hopeful that the hit gay rom-com will go on to inspire and help LGBT youth for years to come.
During last night's Teen Choice Awards, Robinson and the rest of the Love, Simon cast were fortunate to discover that they would be taking home awards for both Best Comedy, as well as Choice Breakout Movie Star (going to the film's titular character).
"Just wanna say thank you to everyone who voted, everyone who made this film what it was. Just want to say thank you to our director Greg Berlanti and everyone involved in this, everyone standing here tonight," Robinson said in his acceptance speech. "This is a labour of love and this is a story that we hope will help some people."
Love, Simon grossed over $66 million globally at the box office this year and made serious waves of progress for the mainstream entertainment industry.
