Despite the fact that she was a vocal Obama and Clinton supporter, American Vogue's iconic editor in chief Anna Wintour is open to having editorial coverage of Melania Trump, First Lady and wife of contentious Republican President Donald Trump, in her publication, and according to sources, that will most likely mean a spot on a future cover.
In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, when asked about the history of First Ladies being featured in the glossy pages of the style bible, Wintour had this to say:
“We have a tradition of always covering whoever is the first lady at Vogue and I can’t imagine that this time would be any different.”
It's worth noting, as The Daily Beast points out, that First Lady Michelle Obama has a total of three Vogue covers under her belt, and that Melania has also already been featured on the cover back in 2005.
