Members of Outfest kicked off the holiday party season on Saturday December 2, 2011 with celesbians, lesbian filmmakers, wine, Absolut, fancy treats to eat from a Top Chef or two, gift bags and more in Hollywood for Outfest’s Women’s Soiree.
Outfest Board Members, sponsors and stars including Meredith Baxter, Suzanne Westenhoefer, Traci Dinwiddie (Elena Undone), Dreya Weber (The Gymnast, A Marine Story), Ashleigh Sumner (And Then Came Lola), Thea Gill and Michelle Clunie (Queer as Folk), and Kate Pierson of The B52's. Joining the talented women will be acclaimed and beloved directors Jamie Babbit (But I'm a Cheerleader, Itty Bitty Titty Committee, Drop Dead Diva), Maria Maggenti (The Totally True Adventures of Two Girls in Love, Puccini for Beginners), Angela Robinson (Hung, The L Word, DEBS), Lee Friedlander (Exes & Ohs, Out at the Wedding, Girl Play, The Ten Rules), Alex Kondrake (The L Word, Girl Trash) and Anna Margarita Albelo (Hooters, A Lez in Wonderland).
Attendees enjoyed the hosted bar by Absolut, sampled wines from Justin Wineries and City Sip LA, noshed on eats by lesbian chefs Gloria Felix (Hell's Kitchen) at Reservoir, Susan Feniger (Top Chef) at Street, Jamie Lauren (Top Chef) from Vodvil and Dora Herrera from Yuca's, along with deserts from the lesbian-owned Nickel Diner and Miss Lilly's Trading Company.
