Vanity Fair Unleashes an Airbrushed, Young - Very White - Hollywood

Vanity Fair has unveiled its Hollywood issue for March featuring nine young actresses who look great with lighting, make-up and re-touching. Alas, here they are: Lesbian fave Kristen Stewart, Abbie Cornish, Carey Mulligan, Amanda Seyfried, Rebecca Hall, Mia Wasikowska, Emma Stone, Evan Rachel Wood and Anna Kendrick.

Vanity Fair has unveiled its Hollywood issue featuring nine young, actresses who look great with lighting, make-up, re-touching and strategic positioning.

The March issue is titled, "A New Decade, A New Hollywood: Starring the Fresh Faces of 2010" and has very little resemblance to real life women with curves and beauty that speaks in all colors.

The all-white and stick-thin young women depicted on the magazine cover speak volumes that Hollywood is still far behind in the realm of true beauty. The once-again preppy layout-similar to 2009-is another way that the media is sending a message to young girls that this is what they should aspire to look like-airbrushed and photo-shopped. Where was Precious' ingénue Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe? She is rumored to be included inside the magazine, but she's and Oscar nominee. Why not include her on the cover?

The feature was shot by famed lesbian photographer Annie Leibovitz and hits newsstands nationally on Feb. 9.

Lets take a look at the breakdown of the young Hollywood ladies that appear on next month's cover of Vanity Fair:

Kristen Stewart, 19, lesbian favorite that reached overnight success when she brought her teen angst to her role in the Twilight saga and will play Joan Jett in the upcoming film The Runaways.

Abbie Cornish, 27, best known as Reese Witherspoon's sloppy seconds and starred in the Australian indie film Bright Star.

Carey Mulligan, 24, the British actress that has earned critical acclaim for her outstanding performance in An Education.

Amanda Seyfried, 24, gained momentum in Mean Girls, but we all know her for her kissing scene with Megan Fox in Jennifer's Body.

Rebecca Hall, 27, best known for her work in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

Mia Wasikowska, 20, was a little known actress in 2009's Defiance, but will play the lead role in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.

Emma Stone, 21, starred in comedies like Superbad and Zombieland.

Evan Rachel Wood, 24, a talented actress that earned praise for films such as Thirteen and The Wrestler. But her role as a lesbian vampire on True Blood keeps us all watching what she will do nex

Anna Kendrick, 24, is best known of Bella Swan's human best friend in Twilight, but the actress has shown her true acting chops playing opposite George Clooney in the Oscar nominated film Up in the Air.
