Zendaya Shares What She Likes Most in a Person—Regardless of Gender

The Euphoria star has no time for gendered questions about the qualities she likes most in a potential partner.

Zendaya doesn't have time for your unnecessary, gendered interview questions!

During a recent video for Vanity Fair (around the 3:10 time mark), the Emmy-winning Euphoria and Malcolm & Marie star was asked questions that reveal things about her personality, and when the topic of qualities she likes and looks for in a man came up, the 24-year-old actress had some thoughts to share.

"What I most like in a person, how about that?" Zendaya responds firstly to the question, opening up the conversation to the possibility she likes things about people regardless of their gender identity.

Like a great sport, though, Zendaya answers the super heteronormative question about what she likes in men, and does it in the best way possible.

"What is the quality I would most like in someone? I would say...kindness is not the best way to describe it, but some people are just good people, and you can just feel it," she said. "I don't know how to explain that, but there's this little spark they have or this little special thing that they have that you just feel safe and happy around them. I don't know what that is, but some people have it, and it's special."

Of course, fans immediately caught on to the way Zendaya removed gender from the question and loved every bit of it!

"When she said 'quality I most like in a PERSON how about that' my bi radar started BEEPING," one commenter wrote.

"That «person» answer gave me more hope than Jesus," said another.

We have to note that Vanity Fair did also ask Zendaya what quality she likes most in a woman afterwards as well, but her response to that question was the same as the one for men, and we loved how she took gender out of the equation in the first place! There's a reason why we stan!
