RHOC’s Heather Dubrow Shares Her Child Has Come Out As Transgender
The reality star shared a photo with a sweet message to her son, Ace.
Over the weekend, Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow shared some exciting news about her family. She announced that her youngest child has come out as trans, and introduced the world to Ace.
Dubrow shared a photo of a sandy beach with the ocean in the background, and the name Ace written in the sand in the foreground. “We love you, our youngest son, Ace ❤️,” reads the caption.As Dubrow went on to explain in the caption, the timing of this post was especially significant, asshe posted it in honor of International Sons Day. “Our job as parents is to give our kids a safe and supportive environment so they can grow up as healthy, happy, confident, independent humans,” she wrote.
She continued that she would leave it up to her son when he wanted to speak more about his gender identity. “Since Ace is a 12-year-old child, with a long life ahead of him - we will let him tell his own story someday if he chooses to do so,” she wrote.
However, one thing is clear Dubrow supports all her children, including her youngest son. “All we can say is Ace, we love you so much and we are proud to be your parents. Your brother and sisters love and support you too.”
Ace is the youngest of Dubrow’s children, whom the actor shares with her plastic surgeon (and reality star in his own right) husband Terry Dubrow, which include twins Nick and Max, 19, and daughter Kat, 16. This is not the first time Dubrow has celebrated one of her children coming out.
In 2020, she shared a post captioned, “I love you my beautiful, hilarious, amazing child! I am SO proud to be your Mother!,” following her daughter Max’s decision to come out as bisexual.
Then in 2022, Kat also came out as a lesbian, news which once again the supportive Dubrow celebrated her daughters coming out. “All I cared about was creating an environment where they all felt safe, comfortable, happy,” she told People at the time.
Parenting: This is how it’s done, folks! Congrats to Ace and welcome to the family.
