Now that Laura Bush has made supporting gay marriage a cornerstone of her book tour and since Facebook has become the country's universal agent for booking appearances ala Betty White on Saturday Night Live, there's a new Facebook campaign to draft the former First Lady as Dallas Pride's guest of honor.
"The idea was broached on DallasVoice.com," according to the Dallas Morning News. Dallas Pride, officially called the Alan Ross Texas Freedom Festival and Parade, steps off on Sept. 19, so there's plenty of time for the FB campaign to build!
While promoting her book Spoken from the Heart Bush has recently made stops at Larry King Live and Fox news expressing support for gay marriage.
