President Barack Obama courted the gay vote throughout his campaign for the presidency and now, a snarky website, Obamasplanforgayrights.com. has popped up to keep his administration accountable to one of the community's that helped elect him. Since he landed in the White House, Obama has paid scant attention to the California Supreme Court upholding that nasty little anti-gay marriage measure Prop 8.
The President has also been taken to task by gay rights advocates for his administration's defense of the Defense of Marriage Act in Federal Court last week. Meanwhile, his promise to repeal Don't Ask Don't' Tell was placed on the back burner while he snuffs out some larger, more mainstream, fires.
