Mother, aka Sarah Michelle Gellar, continues to feed the gays — this time with a hilarious throwback photo of the internet’s daddy, Pedro Pascal, with the caption “when mother met father.”

The photo is a screenshot from the time that Pascal popped up in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The episode, “The Freshman,” was the season four premiere. In it, Buffy has arrived on campus as a college freshman and makes friends briefly with Pascal’s Eddie, who himself is feeling like a bit of a fish out of water, trying to read the campus map.

What could have been a beautiful friendship is cut short, however, because of — well — vampires. Shortly after their meeting, Eddie falls prey to a group of bloodsuckers.

The photo immediately went viral when Gellar posted it, racking up more than 166,000 likes, with commenters lamenting what could have been had he survived. Specifically, a love interest for the titular slayer.

Pascal was previously asked about his stint on the supernatural series by Vulture and the actor had nothing but positive things to say. “That was one of the first jobs I got after I graduated, being a vampire — albeit briefly,” he shared.

“It’s a funny thing because Buffy is such a wonderful show, and it’s something that I got into kind of late in life now that it’s available for streaming,” Pascal added. “Now that I’m removed from having been on it, I got to really experience the show in all of its brilliant allegory.”

It’s clear that Gellar is enjoying and embracing her gays-given title of “Mother” after learning about it on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live.

“It’s a huge honor,” she said. “This is a community that has supported me and all of the jobs I’ve done, whether they’ve been successful or not, and so I’m incredibly grateful.” she told Entertainment Tonight.
