The King of Pop Michael Jackson died of a heart attack at age 50 Thursday, according to a law enforcement official who spoke to the LA Times.
Jackson, part of the iconic performing family, The Jacksons, was rushed to UCLA Medical Center after suffering from cardiac arrest. The pop superstar arrived at the hospital with no pulse and paramedics weren’t able to get it back, sources reported.
His mother was on her way to the hospital to be with him. He is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II.
From an early age Jackson began churning out the hits, first with his brothers, The Jackson Five, with songs including “Never Can Say Goodbye,” “ABC” and “I’ll Be There.” Later he topped the charts with “Billie Jean,” and “Thriller.”
