Anti-Trump protests have been charging through the nation since November 9th, and a young couple is becoming a representation of the passion being brought to the cause. While protesting on 5th Avenue in New York City, photographer Hennessy Vandheur spotted the couple, Fordham students  Laura Hetherington and Giovanna “Jo” Barba, BuzzFeed News reports. The photo, taken when the girls reached Trump Tower, has been making waves on social media, and the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive.

Laura and Jo seem to be handling their internet fame with pride and, according to BuzzFeed, Laura "hopes the photo serves as 'reminder for those who see it: In the midst of hatred, opposition, and oppression our love will persist.'" With over 17 thousand retweets and 31,000 likes, it seems Twitter's right there with them. We only hope the best for this beautiful, brave couple!
