Rooney Mara, who plays Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film adaptation, dishes all the details about her transformation to become the androgynous, bisexual computer hacker in Vogue’s November issue.
Mara is pretty much back to looking more princess than punk for the Vogue shoot. The piercings are hidden, although she still has the dark hair since she will be filming the next two films in the series for at least a few more years. Check out some of the photos below:
To physically prep for the most coveted role on the planet Mara cut and dyed her hair and eyebrows and got several body parts pierced. Before landing the role as Lisbeth Mara didn't even have her ears pierced but once she landed the part Fincher had her pierce her nose, eyebrow, lip, nipple and each ear four times – all in one day.
