Hold the presses! Lindsay Lohan's SCRAM alcohol monitoring bracelet starting singing the night of the MTV Movie Awards this weekend, according to
L.A. Times Blogs. The perennially troubled once-upon-a-starlet was forced to wear the SCRAM ankle bracelet as a condition of her bail agreement as a result of a probation violation stemming from a 2007 DUI case. The bracelet was slapped on Lindsay's ankle following her May 24, hearing. The monitoring device is set to go off if it is tampered with or if it senses any of the sweet nectar wafting out of her pores.
A "source" familiar with the case said the device went off on Sunday, the night Linds attended the MTV Movie Awards. Once the bracelet goes off, it alerts a monitoring company that then reports the breach to Los Angeles County Probation Department and Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel, who is handling Lindsay's case.
Once she's reviewed the incident, Revel, who does not appear to take much crap, could order Lindsay's' bail revoked and send the actress to the pokey for violating terms of probation.
Lindsay's beleaguered and likely exhausted attorney could not be reached for comment on the latest development, according to the
Times.
