On Wednesday, Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai talked with Ellen DeGeneres about her mission to bring education to girls around the world. The talk show host asked Malala about how she was able to move on from being shot in the face for wanting an education. After spending a week in a coma, she says, and several months rehabilitating, Malala says she focused on the outpouring of worldwide support for her and says she "should forget about it, and now continue my life with more courage and more work."
Her passion for education is almost tangible as she additionally says, "I strongly believe that nothing can stop me in this mission, in this campaign, of education, to say that girls deserve the right to go to school."
The interview is inspiring and touching, with spots of humor (particularly when Malala recounts how she found out she was being awarded the Nobel). It is well worth a watch.
