We are a part of the rhythm nation!

Trans trailblazer Peppermint is a musician, actress, and activist who broke into the mainstream following her appearance on season nine of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

After making headlines for her lip sync cover of Janet Jackson’s “If,” Peppermint is back with a fully realized tribute video of “Rhythm Nation” that will absolutely blow you away. This beat-by-beat tribute shows Peppermint not only recreating the entire choreography of the original music video but also not skipping a single word of the lip sync.

This is a huge treat for Peppermint fans, Janet Jackson fans, and fans of pop music in general. You can Peppermint’s Janet Jackson tribute to “Rhythm Nation” below.

Since Drag Race, Peppermint has gone on to star on TV shows like God Friended Me, Pose, and Harlem. She has also been a main judge on the reality competition series Call Me Mother, and made cameos in films like VH1’s The B*tch Who Stole Christmas and Hulu’s Fire Island. When it comes to music, Peppermint has released albums like Black Pepper, A Girl Like Me, and Moment of Weakness.

On Friday, February 10, Peppermint will return to guest star in the second season of Amazon Prime Video’s Harlem. She is also set to have a recurring role on Michelle Buteau’s new Netflix series Survival of the Thickest.

We stan Peppermint – and her Janet Jackson tribute is absolutely electrifying!
