Trailer For Beyoncé-Inspired Horror Series Has Beyhive In Shambles

The parallels are undeniable.
The trailer for a new music-centric horror series from Amazon Prime already has Beyoncé fans screaming over the obvious nods to their idol and their very own fandom.
Swarm centers around Dre (Dominique Fishback), an obsessive fan whose life revolves around her favorite pop star, Ni’Jah, to the point that things take a mysterious “dark turn” during the course of the show.
“You’re a killer bee,” someone tells Dre in the trailer. “Part of the Swarm.”
The “Swarm” in question refers to the name of Ni’Jah’s fanbase — something that immediately draws comparisons to Beyoncé’s “Beyhive.” And the little we’ve seen of the fictional pop star’s aesthetics are doing the same.

“Lol…lord. The beyhive has inspired a horror thriller series heading to Prime Video. Can’t believe Chloe Bailey was cleared to do this, but here we are.”— RAY  (@RAY ) 1677303944

There’s a lot we still don’t know about the series, which will see all seven episodes drop on March 17, but it’s hard to imagine the clear similarities between the “Crazy in Love” singer and her fandom and the world of Swarm will end there — and it already seems like the Beyhive is in for a wild viewing experience if so!
Swarm was created by Janine Nabers and Donald Glover, and will also feature appearances by Chloe Bailey, Damson Idris, Paris Jackson, Rory Culkin, and Kiersey Clemons.
Where can I watch Swarm?
Swarm will be available March 17 on Amazon Prime Video.
