Mariska Hargitay Still Working Despite Collapsed Lung

 Emmy Award winning Law and Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay is suffering from a collapsed lung, although she has no plans to slow down her work schedule.

"Mariska Hargitay has been sidelined with a pneumothorax (a partially collapsed lung)," a rep told Access Hollywood. But, despite the injury "she will appear in all episodes for the rest of the season of Law &Order: SVU."

Pneumothorax can result from a "buildup of air in the space between the lung and the chest wall," according to WebMD.

Hargitay was nominated for a Golden Globe this past Sunday but did not attend the ceremony.
