For the first time since coming out as transgender, Teddy Geiger hit the red carpet at the 2018 BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills yesterday—and she looked stunning!

You might remember Teddy from her 2006 hit song "For You I Will (Confidence)," or currently know her for the songs she's written for Shawn Mendes, including "Mercy" and "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back," for which she received honors for last night.

The 29-year-old singer-songwriter came out as transgender last October on Instagram. "I started talking about it with a couple of my close friends and family about a month ago and it's given me the courage to start the process. I feel like the next step is to tell all y'all."

"So here goes. Love it or hate this is who I have been for a loooooong time. I love u guys."

This is Geiger's first red carpet since her coming out, but, according to Billboard, "Geiger has been active on Instagram, posting selfies, photos of nature and subtle updates on her transition."

Fans showed Geiger so much love on Twitter:
