What’s better than two girls in love? Two girl penquins in love of course! And that’s just what you’ll find at Israel’s Ramat Gan Safari park, where two female penguins, Suki and Chupchikoni, have chosen one another for mates, according to Haaretz.com.

Since penguins pair for life, choosing their mates during adolescence, the two Jackass (or black-footed) penguins, Suki and Chupchikoni, came out at as lesbian penguins at a young age once they found each other.

Suki and Chupchikoni are taking some things kind of slow and have not burrowed together yet, but they are collecting nesting items for when they are ready to take that extra plunge.

The head of the Safari Avian Department, Tamuz Setti, assured naysayers that the two young lesbian penguins did not choose one another for lack of options, as their were a number of male suitors at the Safari park, but rather that they clearly chose to mate with one another.

“There are a few young available males in the exhibit. We are certain that they made a choice to be together,” Setti told Haaretz.

Congratulations to the happy penguin couple. Here’s hoping Leslie Knope officiates their nuptials and they have their first wedding waddle to Mary Lambert’s “She Keeps Me Warm.”
