Rachel Maddow Points Out Republicans' Arrested Development on 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'

MSNBC news host Rachel Maddow left Tuesday's Senate hearing on "don't ask, don't tell" with the impression that the Republicans, all of whom oppose repealing the discriminatory measure against lesbians and gays in the military, suffer from a kind of arrested development. She said that Senator John McCain called for testimony from the 1993 DADT hearings to be introduced.

MSNBC news' host Rachel Maddow left Tuesday's Senate hearing on "don't ask, don't tell" with the impression that the Republicans, all of whom oppose repealing the discriminatory measure, suffer from a kind of arrested development.

Maddow left the hearing and immediately went to MSNBC to weigh in on a Republican time warp occurring at the hearing. "If you closed your eyes and squinted, you really could have believed it was 1993 again," she said. "The Republicans really came off like they were talking out of another century."

She said that Senator John McCain (who should listen to his wife and daughter regarding equality for lesbians and gays) called for testimony from the 1993 DADT hearings to be introduced.
