18 Reasons We Need to 'Free Kesha Now'

In case you haven’t heard, Kesha is currently in the midst of a major lawsuit with her former producer and accused abuser Dr. Luke, who legally forbid her to release new music until after the settlement.

A "Free Kesha Now" petition has recently been circulating and here is every single reason you need to sign it.

1. Because the world desperately needs more bangers…K15

2. And we can’t live on "Timber" forever.K1

3. Because Kesha taught you everything you know about partying…K2

4. And probably made up a very significant part of your college drinking days…K3

5. Not to mention your college love life.K4

6. Because we need a pop star that understands our sleazy lifestyle and doesn’t judge us for it.K5

7. Because Kesha is an amazing example of always staying true to yourself…K7

8. And never letting the haters get the best of you.K6

9. Because you’ve cried to the "The Harold Song" so many times...

10. But you’ve raged to "Blow" more.K16

11. Because without Kesha, there’s so many less rainbows, glitter and unicorns in the world.k8

12. Because Kesha just gets you…K9

13. She speaks to the soul.k10

14. Because Kesha is a free spirit and legalities cannot hold it captive any longer.K11

15. Because you like his beard too.K14

16. We need to support Kesha because Kesha supports us.K13

17. And in the end, she's just trying to make people happy. K23

18. The Only Thing That Matters Is that Nobody Should Be Forced to Work with Their Abuser

Kesha broke down in court last week when a judge refused to let her out of her contract with Sony and Dr. Luke, the producer Kesha alleges "drugged, sexually abused and psychologically tormented her," according to ABC News. While there are so many reasons to applaud and love Kesha, the most basic reason she should be freed from her contract is simple human decency. It's immoral that she should be forced to work with her abuser. Period.
