Watch: Ben Affleck's 'Atrocious' Directorial Debut, 'I Killed My Lesbian Wife'

Oscar-winning screenwriter and actor Ben Affleck might be legitimately pissed about being snubbed for an Oscar nomination for directing the excellent film Argo this year, but if his directorial debut two decades ago is any indication, Affleck hasn't always had such a keen directorial eye. 

Affleck's first shot at directing was for the 1993 short film excessively titled, I Killed My Lesbian Wife, Hung Her on a Meathook, and now I have a Three Picture Deal at Disney.

The film is a low-budget satire aimed at lampooning the gratuitously violent appetite of Hollywood, and follows a mentally unstable low-rent director who auditions a woman for a movie, and berates his allegedly lesbian wife, who he inexplicably keeps bound and gagged until he dismembers her. 

For what it's worth, Affleck acknowledged in a 2010 interview with Entertainment Weekly that Lesbian Wife was "horrible. It's atrocious," he said, according to GossipCenter. "I knew that I wanted to be a director, and I did a couple of short films, and this is the only one that haunts me. I'm not proud of it. It looks like it was made by someone who has no prospects, no promise."
