While promoting her new flick, Knight and Day, costarring Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz recently expounded on her thoughts regarding fluid sexuality in Playboy.

Cam explained the difference between sexuality and love for the readers of the famed men's mag, saying she could get down with a woman but it doesn't mean she's looking for love, which is fair.  But while there's no debating sexuality as fluid and amorphous, I'm going to throw down the gauntlet and say that Cam's comments were definitely geared for a straight male demographic that loves to picture sex between women but isn't as keen on having a woman leave them because she's in love with another woman. I guess I can't blame a girl for knowing her audience.

Here's what Cameron told Playboy:

"Sexuality and love can be different things," she said. "I can be attracted to a woman sexually, but it doesn't mean I want to be in love with a woman. If I'm going to be with a woman sexually, it doesn't mean I'm a lesbian. We put these restraints and definitions on people, but it's hard to define."

I tried telling my mom for years that just because I slept with women it didn't make me a lesbian, but in the end, the label stuck. C'est la vie.
