Following months of prep including last-minute passport apps and shopping for summer clothes in autumn, the Sweet Cruise --or what I like to call dyke drama on the high seas -- began it's maiden voyage out of the port of New Orleans Sunday. With Hurricane Ida bearing down us we headed toward Costa Maya.

We ask that you forgive the lack of captions as we are low on battery without an adapter --that's coming today-- and Internet costs our collective first borns!
