Girl on Girl is an original documentary in the making by out filmmaker Jodi Savitz. Savitz explores the lives of seven women who live their lives having to come out as lesbians over and over again and defend their identity because they “don’t look gay.”
Savitz aims to challenge society’s thoughts on what lesbians look like, and in making the first film to specifically address why some lesbians feel invisible even after coming out Savitz hopes to educate people on the importance of respecting the declaration of lesbian identity.
Post production begins February 2015, but Savitz needs funding for the completion of the film. Girl on Girl already has over 250,000 fans online, and it’s Savitz’s hope to bring this film to supporters and fans by this year. Check out their video campaign and become a visible member of Girl on Girl.
