More and more these days, we're seeing the fashion and modeling spaces of the world making space for more trans and non-binary models. It's far from balanced or perfect, but it is getting better, which is no doubt a testament to the endurance, dedication, and fierceness of the trans models who are paving the way.

A perfect example of that is a trans model from Brazil named Valentina Sampaio, who recently stunned on ELLE Brazil's November cover.

Aside from her beauty, what should really be causing people to stop and pay attention is the fact that Valentina is only 19-years-old. This is a major accomplishment for a young, non-binary person, and a teenage model in general, especially since being a model these days usually requires that one has famous family members.

This year, Valentina celebrated her first International Women's Day and shot a video with L'Oreal Paris (see below), both commemorating the occasion and using it as a platform to come out as trans. In the video she says, "Beauty is something that transcends the body," and finishes with, "It comes from the soul."
