Affirmations are a powerful catalyst for change in our lives. By repeating a phrase of love over and over again, we can instil positivity in our subconscious and learn to believe it inwardly and outwardly. Especially with kids, affirmations can go a long way in improving one's confidence and self-esteem.
In a touching new video from The Scene, parents of transgender children read powerful and uplifting affirmations to their kids and have them repeat them in the mirror and I'm not crying, you are.

Considering 40% of all young people experiencing homelessness are LGBTQ and 41% of all trans people have attempted suicide, it feels especially important to let trans children and people everywhere know that they are loved, accepted, and celebrated.

The kids weren't the only ones inspired by the video. Facebook users were also really moved by the affirmations. One commenter said "We are to love our children UNCONDITIONALLY, we are not supposed to love them 'on our terms only!'" Another user added "These kids are going to change the world for the best! I can already feel it!"
