Featuring a Cuban-American family and multiple LGBTQ characters, Netflix's revitalized Norman Lear sitcom One Day at a Time has been groundbreaking in its own right. The hilarious show covers serious topics like immigration, religion, and most recently went viral for a clip tackling sexism.
Even though the show has a 99 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes and legions of loyal fans, it seems like the show might be under threat of cancellation from Netflix. And showrunner Gloria Calderón Kellett tweeted that she was concerned about the show's future with Netflix.
"They made clear that they love the show, love how it serves underrepresented audiences, love its heart & humor, but...we need more viewers," she said. "They'll decide soon."
