Fresh off the runaway success of The Last of Us, the actor has been announced among the cast of Drive-Away Dolls, an upcoming roadtrip comedy written by Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke, and helmed by Coen in his solo directorial debut.

Per the official description, the film follows Jamie, an uninhibited free spirit bemoaning yet another breakup with a girlfriend, and her demure friend Marian who desperately needs to loosen up. In search of a fresh start, the two embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals.

It wasn’t immediately clear what Pascal’s role in the film will be, but we do know that Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Bill Camp, and Matt Damon also star.

Production on Drive-Away Dolls appears to already be complete, with a planned theatrical release date of September 22, 2023.

Fans of Pascal are also eagerly awaiting an upcoming LGBTQ+ western short film from Pedro Almodóvar called Strange Way of Life, in which The Mandalorian star and Ethan Hawke will play gunslingers looking to find one another again after 25 years apart.

If the man wants to keep lending his talents to LGBTQ+ content, you won’t hear any complaints from us!

Are Sarah Paulson and Pedro Pascal friends?

Is Pedro Pascal leaving The Mandalorian?
