Dallas-based writer/photographer Tyler Curry wants the world to know that living with HIV in 2015 isn't the death sentence it was in the '80s.
In a new video called "The Face of HIV/AIDS: Then and Now," Curry explores (through incredibly realistic makeup and deep personal reflection) what living with HIV looked like in the '80s compared to today.
As Curry points out in the message of this insightful video, life can still be meaningful (and normal) for many people living with HIV. "If you're a gay man who is alive and well today, be happy. Be thankful," he says. "Go and live your life."
