Andy King went viral earlier this month when he shared a shocking story of sexual harassment in Netflix's documentary, FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened.
In order to save a truckload of water for the failing Fyre Festival, King's boss Billy McFarland propositioned him to give a Bahamian customs worker a blow job to save the $175,000 worth of confiscated Evian.
"I literally drove home, took a shower, I drank some mouthwash," said King. "I'm like, 'Oh my gosh...I'm really'—and I got into my car to drive across the island to take one for the team. And I got to his office fully prepared to suck his d*ck."
The harrowing account of harassment is shocking, but the internet deemed Andy a hero for willing to go that inappropriate extra mile.
Now King has spoken out about his newfound infamy.
"I'm now a noun, a verb, an adjective," King said in a Netflix interview. It's mind-boggling. When someone reached out last weekend and said, 'you're trending' and I'm like, 'I don't even know what trending means.' 'People are talking about you,' I'm like oh my gosh. And then yesterday, someone's saying, 'yeah you're a me-me.' I'm like 'what's a me-me?' 'No Andy, it's a meme. And they're creating ads about you.'
King is ready to use his platform for good.
"One of our biggest goals obviously is paying back everybody in the Bahamas. It's kind of rewarding that we started a GoFundMe last week to help Mary Ann and we've committed to that project and it's met all of its goals and a lot more. Now we've started another GoFundMe which is now focusing on paying back all the laborers and everybody else that was involved with Fyre down in the Bahamas."
"If I can drive positive influences and a lot of positive energy toward, you know, social and environmental impact," said Andy, "I think I can utilize this moment to do a lot of good."
