Christina Aguilera has dropped hints of just what's in her bag of tricks for her next music video "Not Myself Tonight," off her her album BIONIC. Throughout this week, Aguilera has released photos to build anticipation for the "surprises" her video holds. So far, the only thing revealed with these photos is that being platinum blonde does not make you Lady Gaga or Madonna.
First, let's look at what Aguilera released earlier this week...
On Monday, the photo was this:
According to Allie Is Wired, Aguilera was actually questioned last week about her thoughts on being compared to Lady Gaga, and she responded: “It just comes with the territory. That, in particular, is not even worth wasting the breath to comment on. I’ve been around for over a decade and I think my work speaks for myself. [When I was younger] I would have engaged, been a little upset [about the comparisons]. There’s a bigger picture out there. I’ve got my son, my family, my work.”
The bigger picture might just be her outfits looking too familiar - possibly due to the fact that Gaga rocked it last August.

On Wednesday, Aguilera took it a back even a couple decades more with the debut of the "new" look from the video. Thanks to Allie, once again, for pin-pointing where this deja vu feeling is coming from: Madonna's "Express Yourself" video. See comparison below:

Unfortunately, I agree with Allie in thinking Aguilera's version "makes her look like a latex bound drag queen, trying to lick a bowl of milk." Of course, Michael K. at DListed was right on when he noted that Madonna was not the first to lick a bowl of milk -- cats were.

The photo from today is another Lady Gaga attempt, this time “Love Game” style. Its one thing to closely resemble someone, or repurpose a musician's good ideas here and there. But for the second time this week, Aguilera has pulled her costume out of Gaga's closet - figuratively - by going lesbian in her video.
Here is a video of little snippets from the music video that is set to finally be released at midnight:
While Aguilera will probably get some flack for doing the just-for-pretend lez thing, I will play devil's advocate: at least she called the song "Not Myself Tonight."
