Crystal Reed Calls 'Swamp Thing' Co-Star Maria Sten Her Girlfriend

Say it's so!

Teen Wolf fans are freaking out after Crystal Reed, who played Allison Argent in the first three seasons of the popular show, seemed to indicate on Instagram that she has a girlfriend.

Reed most recently starred in the short-lived DC Universe show Swamp Thing last year. She remained close friends with co-star Maria Sten, except…it turns out maybe “friends” wasn’t the right term.

Sten has been traveling in Italy for the holidays, and on her latest Instagram post, Reed left an interesting comment:

Naturally, fans were quick to jump on the comment, claiming both Reed and Sten as part of the queer community.

Neither actress has commented further or clarified in any way, and it’s totally possible this is some tongue-in-cheek joke between the two.

HOWEVER. It has long been rumored that Reed and her longtime boyfriend Darren McMullen finally split sometime in 2019. She also shared an picture of her self on Instagram (after the comment on Sten’s photo) alongside the caption: “Ode to 2019: My barn having burned to the ground, I can now see the moon,” which any good conspiracy theorist would consider an admittance of realizing you’ve found something better (in this case, a girl) after losing a temporary construction (in this case, a boy).

And she’s certainly shared her appreciation for her Swamp Thing co-star in the past, writing in September that Sten “is an amazing actress, loyal beyond belief, my sandbox partner, kind, generous, glorious and and and and and…”

Whatever's going on, these two gal pals seem pretty happy with one another, so we wish them the best! (And yeah, surprise, we ship it.)
