Kristen Stewart may be replacing Angelina Jolie in the Wanted sequel.

According to E! News, a source claims that the studio and director Timur Bekmambetov have expressed interest in snagging the Twilight star to step into Angie's shoes as the sexy femme fatale, starring alongside James McAvoy.

The source said Stewart was approached for the franchise and met at least once with Bekmambetov.

Stewart's character would be a young, ass-kicking assassin in the Fraternity as Jolie's character was killed in the end of Wanted, but Bekmambetov has said that Jolie could still make a cameo in the sequel. Sounds like a dream sequence is in the works!

Jolie reportedly backed out of the flick because details and time frame were never worked out.

Kristen is slated to start shooting Breaking Dawn possibly in October, while Wanted 2 was originally scheduled to film around the end of August.

It is still hearsay on whether the film will actually even happen, but cross your fingers that Stewart is in!
