Indie Band The xx Included a Same-Sex Kiss in Their Latest Music Video

"On Hold" envisions what it's like to be a typical teen in middle America.

The music video for The xx's latest single "On Hold" was just recently released this week, and in the midst all of the typical teenage angst featured in the short (cheerleaders, jocks, house party footage, fast cars, skateboarding, hot popular-looking kids making out, etc.) is a memorable same-sex kiss between two cute guys that we...*gulp*...just can't seem to get out of our heads.

"On Hold" is the latest single from the critically-acclaimed British indie rockers and is set to included in the group's upcoming album I See You, whichis slated for a January 2017 release date (their first since 2012's Coexist).

While we would have never guessed that a quintessentially hipster band from the UK would be the ones creating visuals portraying life as teen in rural, white, middle America, we're glad they did, and we're even more glad that they included a kiss from a same-sex couple. Even if very brief, the more queer representation we can get in more mainstream media, the better!
