Better off Ted star and Ellen Degeneres' wife Portia de Rossi, apologized for her gay marriage in a faux PSA on Jimmy Kimmel Live Friday.

A dead pan de Rossi showed off her acting chops in the PSA saying, "When i got married, all I was thinking about was my own joy at committing to love my partner for the rest of my life. I didn't think about all the people I was hurting by getting married. That was selfish."

With a back drop of photos of "Yes on 8" protesters, de Rossi apologizes to one gay marriage naysayer for the paper cuts the woman must surely have received from holding her anti-gay marriage sign. She says she's sorry to another for the pneumonia the woman caught while protesting in the rain.

De Rossi finishes the minute-plus PSA with, "Thanks to Prop. 8, good people... will never again be subjected to the horrors of gay people getting married." She then says it's too late to save herself end with a simple, "I'm sorry."

The PSA ends with the tag, "Paid for by Married Gay People who are Sorry."
