Many gay woman aren't necessarily "Gold Star Gays" by definition -- a lesbian who has never slept with a man. So the majority of us has had boyfriends, male crushes and occasional hook-ups with guys. And while we are now full-on lez, there is the occasional lingering appreciation.

Hey, I know  a few self-identified lesbians who still cross over to the dark side every now and then, even though they are out; it's something experimental, like when straight women sleep with other women (that's what they say anyway). And even full-on dykes occasionally develop guilty-pleasure boy crushes on musicians and actors.

So, I  polled my gay friends and compiled a list of the top 11 straight men gay girls love, based on my friends' thoughts and mine.  Whether they are talented, activists or they love the gays, these guys are all doing impressive or touching things that make their sex appeal go through the roof. Yeah, I'm admitting to boy crushes. It feels good to get it off my chest, so here they are! 

Jamie Oliver

Age: 34

Occupations: Chef

Aw. look at how cute that face is. Come, on look again, he's adorable. He can cook, and he has an accent. He is sometimes known as The Naked Chef, and is known for his growing and expanding list of food-focused television shows. The British culinary artist is also an activist for the campaign against the use of processed foods in national public schools and his campaign to change unhealthy diets and poor cooking habits has swept across the United Kingdom. 

 Jamie’s been open about his dyslexia as it’s no secret he left school at 16 without any qualifications to attend Westminster Catering College. Since his foray into the food arts, he has prepared lunch for former Prime Minister Tony Blair at No. 10 Downing Street several times.  In 2005 he single handedly initiated his campaign called "Feed Me Better" to help British schoolchildren to eat healthier foods. It’s also reported that in 2009 Oliver was in the process of raising some $22 million to help fund 30 of his Italian restaurants in Asia. I'm going to sit at home, with a full fridge and wait for him to find me, that's not a joke.

Jonathan Tucker

Age: 27

Occupation: Actor

Who would have thought a horror movie would coin such an amazing actor? Jonathan Tucker had us all on the edge of out seats during his 2003 rendition of a terrified victim in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Then he bared his acting chops in Sophia Coppola's The Virgin Suicides.

 A classically trained dancer who studied with the Boston Ballet, Jonathan played  Fritz in The Nutcracker in the third grade. He went on to receive early admission to Columbia University. So, let's just recap here, Tucker is an amazing actor, who studied ballet and was accepted via early admission to an Ivy League school, what's wrong with him? So far, nothing.

Gael Garcia Bernal

Age: 31

Occupation: Actor

Alright ladies, prepare yourself for a little Latin flavor in your life. 31-year-old Gael Garcia Bernal began acting as a child, helping both of his thespian parents in plays. When he was 14 he stared in the Spanish soap opera El Abuelo Y Yo.

Shortly after he began starring in workout videos and commercials. He won women's hearts with his portrayal of the young lover Jose Zapata in the widely acclaimed hit Y Tu Mama Tambien.

When Gael emits impeccable Spanish from his kissable lips he melts hearts (boys and girls). Boyish good looks, a huge acting career, fluency in a couple of languages? Sexy.

Trained at the Central School of Speech and Acting in London, Gael’s has portrayed Argentine revolutionary Che Guevara twice, first in the 2002 miniseries Fidel and in 2004’s art house hit The Motorcycle Diaries. When he was in his late teens, Gael traveled around Mexico teaching indigenous people to read, often working with Huichol Indians. He also took part in the peaceful demonstrations during the Chiapas Uprising of 1994. So, you can add activist to that long list of things that make Gael sexy.

Henry Cavill

Age: 26

Occupation: Actor

Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill grew up partly in Jersey and partly Great Britain (on a small island between England and France). I usually have issues with people who have more than three names, as I find them to be affected or something, but I think his choice of two middle names is due to the fact that he is full of class. I like that. It's like he's prestigious or something, like small island royalty -- and he looks it too.

 Henry’s made his first film appearance in 2002 in the fairly successful screen adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo. He went on to play the lead role of Charles Brandon on Showtime's, The Tudors. There is something about him, when he hits the screen I can't take my eyes off of him; he just looks elegant and sharp. There’s something sexy about a guy who looks like royalty and carries himself with confidence and poise. He is a master of accents and languages, just watch his work. A look at that sweet face. I could wake up next to him, and I would never say "Oh god, how much did I drink last night?"

Jason Segel

Age: 30

Occupation: Comedian/Actor/Writer

"Oh, if they were Sean Jean sweatpants it would be no problem, but because they were Costco brand, it's the worst thing I could do," is one of the funniest lines in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, based on the true-life experience of the last woman Jason Segel dated.  He's part of the clan of "Apatows Kids,” as he’s a staple of Judd Apatow’s films. He broke into the Apatow fraternity at 19 as hangdog drummer Nick Andopolis on Freaks and Geeks and guested as a hypersensitive boyfriend on Undeclared .

Jason went on to star in favorites How I Met Your Mother and Knocked Up. Gracing us with his presence on both the television and on the big screen, Segal is also known as a  creating the story and characters for films like F orgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek. He’s one of those hot in a weird, accessible way. Like “Oh, I went to college with a guy just like that.” Or “My friend tried to set me up with this strange puppet fetishist man from her office. It was a disaster.”

This guy could make a crying man laugh, and that alone is sexy.

David Beckham

Age: 34

Occupation: Athlete 

I don't even know where to start when it comes to David Beckham, I mean I should just write one line and it should say "Come on, look at that face." I mean, he's absolutely beautiful. It's like the Greek God Zeus was his father and Charlize Theron was his mother. Sheer perfection. I would go straight for him -- I mean honestly straight.

He's a professional soccer player, which is so lesbian... A transplant from England, Beckham and his wife Victoria have been on People's Sexiest Men/Woman Alive lists for God knows how long and have been coined  "The Most Beautiful Couple in Hollywood." He stays out of the limelight as much as he can, although when you're Beckham and look like that, I can only imagine that's a tough thing to do. He has droves of girls all over the world who wish they were in Victoria Beckham's seven-inch shoes. And, his ball skills are equally as good as his looks, playing for both a team in London and now our very own Los Angeles Galaxy. He now does campaigns all over the world, including underwear ads for Emporio Armani. I'm telling you googling David Beckham comes up with the results that any woman, gay or straight can't take her eyes off of.

Taye Diggs

Age: 38

Occupation: Actor

He's done Broadway, he's done films, he's done television, and he's married to the hottest and most talented woman on earth. Taye Diggs is a dream. Stunningly handsome Taye has a B.F.A. in Musical Theater from Syracuse University and made his acting debut in the five-time Tony Award winning playCarousel.  Every gay woman is a closeted Rent-Head the term used for people obsessed with the Tony Award winning musical, and Diggs was in the 1996 original Broadway cast of Rent starring as Benny the anti-bohemian, money-driven landlord.

Diggs is married to another Rent alumna, Idina Menzel and appears wholly in love with is wife and kids, which is also extremely sexy. During an interview on The Ellen Degeneres show, yes that's right ladies, he's a friend of the gays, he stated " My wife is an amazing warrior, when she went into labor, she was calm cool, and collected and she looked beautiful." How many men do you know would say their wife looked beautiful during childbirth? He also once stated that he would never try to pick up woman because they are so much smarter than men, and they would always just see right through him. A man who knows what he's talking about, obviously. He succeeded in winning the heart of uber sexy Broadway triumph  Menzel, who posesses the best voice in the biz, hands down (in my not-so humble opinion). All I have to say is I wonder what there bedroom life looks like.

Christopher Meloni

Age: 49

Occupation: Actor

Ok, I don't know about you, but I have become oddly obsessed with Law and Order: SVU over the past several months, so much so that I have been watching every episode from every season on Netflicks. I mean, I'm properly obsessed and it's getting really bad.  I started to wonder if it was Mariska Hargitay, which it totally could be, because she's smoking hot. And then I realized I think it’s just the opposite. I love Christopher Meloni. He's strong, carries a gun and if any perp tries to take you out, he's always there to save your life, and solve your crime, ahh, I love him. He's played Detective Elliot Stabler for 10 seasons now and I'm telling you he's the reason I watch. 

If those piercing blue eyes staring at you from your television screen aren't enough, how about the fact that Chris is just your everyday normal guy. He never is followed by paparazzi, he’s happily married and stays out of the "scene," and if I'm a betting woman (which I usually am) I'd say his perfect Sunday is hanging out with his kids and watching a football game.

With his effortless charisma and cocky style Chris has played characters on both sides of the law (A cop in SVU and for years he gave a stunning portrayal of a sexually arresting, sociopath killer in love with another man in the gripping prison drama Oz). Meloni's a guy / guy who looks like he could take care of any woman.

Jared Leto

Age: 38

Occupation: Actor/Musician

Androgynous looks, great style, music talent and beautiful eyes… what more could you ask for when you're looking for a sexy man? Jared Leto stairs at us with those baby blues from both the screen and the cover of albums. He croons to us with his sentimental and perplexing lyrics via the front man of  30 Seconds to Mars, the successful rock band that brought us such hits as "Kings and Queens" and "Night of the Hunter."

His talent is as epic on the screen as it is coming through your iPod speakers. Girls all over the world fell in love with Leto when he played  Jordan Catalano during the short lived, but cult followed MTV show My So-Called Life, and continued to love him all the way through to his heroin-addicted character in Requiem for a Dream. He has been coined the pinnacle of hipster manhood, staying fashionable and sexy while keeping his career serious and making select movie choices. He takes risks both musically and theatrically and still finds time to paint his nails black in rebellion. And any man who is willing to gain 50 pounds for a role in Chapter 27, and shed 40 for Requiem,  is a paradisiacal man , so someone call him and tell him I'm waiting. 

Justin Timberlake

Age: 29

Occupation: Singer

A generation of girls between the ages of 18-35 -- lesbians included -- had a high school crush on Justin Timberlake during his Nsync days. I know you girls were trying to be straight when NSYNC was in its prime and Justin filled that void for a sexy man crush so well. That face, those abs, and oh that voice. Oh oh Oh that beautiful voice he has, everyone has to love a man who can hit those notes. Now he's branching into his own fashion line (William Rast) making men and woman everywhere look stylish -- I'm a jean snob and those jeans hug all the right corners.

Timberlake has six Grammy's under his fashionable belt, and still says his grandmother's peach cobbler is his favorite food. Something about a home grown Tennessee boy appeals to everyone don't you think? I just like the way that every time he's on stage you can't stop watching, and every time he's on television you can't change the channel. JT is also not such a bad actor either. He showcased his acting chops in 2005's Alpha Dog as appearing in a spate of films from The Love Guru to Shrek. His dance moves and sexy voice make him an exceptional choice for any woman. He stays out of the lime light, and doesn't take the Hollywood scene or himself to seriously. Google him on Star Search when he was two years old, if you're not convinced yet, you will be then.
