You don't need us to tell you this, but the internet is weird AF. The strangest, silliest, and most random things can go viral for the oddest reasons, and if you try to rationalize or explain why a certain trend can become a thing, you literally can't.
Such is the case with this unexplainably hot video that is circulating around TikTok of a bunch of fine as hell shirtless men trying to eat papaya with their hands behind their backs...

We're not sure what the hell is going on here, but we're definitely intrigued...
TikTok user @jelayneshelton first brought this papaya eating contest to our attention in a recent post that has over 46,500+ likes and 318,000+ views at the time of writing.

"I'VE NEVER WANTED TO BE A PIECE OF FRUIT SO BAD IN MY LIFE," she captioned (in all caps, so you know it's serious) her video, where we see her freaking out at the sight of hot men voraciously eating out some fruit.
Same, sis. Same.
Apparently, the now-infamous clip is from a series called Game of Bros, a show produced by TheCoconetTV where "the finest & strongest Pacific/Māori men of Aotearoa" compete in various challenges. The whole show, including the episode where a group of guys passionately eat some papaya, is available on YouTube, and suddenly we now have something new to binge-watch during the ongoing, global pandemic.
Oh internet, please never change! We need more weirdly hot gems like these in our lives!
