The pop star made up with her mom after years of separation following her conservatorship.

After years of tension and separation, Britney Spears and her mom Lynne Spears appear to have reconciled.

Yesterday Spears posted an old photo of herself as a little girl up like a ballerina on Instagram, writing in the caption that her “sweet mama” had shown up at her home to work things out.

“My sweet mama showed up at my doorstep yesterday after 3 years. It’s been such a long time. With family, there are always things that need to be worked out... but time heals all wounds!” Spears wrote.

The “Toxic” singer also revealed that the mother/daughter pair were able to hash things out after years of not speaking, “And after being able to communicate what I’ve held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things RIGHT!”

Clearly, the visit went well, because Spears ended with an open invitation to her mother: "I’m so blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years! Let’s go shopping afterwards.”

Spears and her mom have a long-standing feud stemming from the pop star’s conservatorship which finally ended in 2021 after more than 10 years of having her life controlled by her father Jamie Spears. The conservatorship gave her father control of her finances and all of her career and health decisions.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Spears wrote about her mother’s role in the conservatorship just days before it finally ended.

"Pssss my dad may have started the conservatorship 13 years ago … but what people don't know is that my mom is the one who gave him the idea!" Spears wrote. "I will never get those years back. She secretly ruined my life."

Spears married Sam Asghari in a small ceremony seven months after the conservatorship ended, but her mom wasn’t in attendance.

Although their relationship has remained complicated, the “Oops!...I Did It Again” singer reached out to her mom through Instagram, posting a photo of herself on a beach in Mexico. “Mom and Dad, I crossed the border and I made it! After no coffee for 15 years. Mom, we can go have coffee together now! I’m treated as an equal. Let’s have coffee and talk about it!”

Seems like Spears finally got her wish!
